How did I get here?

I’m nearly finished my HCI-focussed PhD candidature, but Software Engineering is actually where I started out. During my undergraduate studies, I discovered user interface and experience design, which has become my primary focus, and is the style of work I am most interested in.

While I originally used my people-analysis skills to ensure I bought the perfect Christmas gift, I now apply them to designing digital experiences that are the perfect blend of what a user wants and needs.

I have worked in industry in the past, but at the moment I split my time between finishing off my research project, and serving as the AR and Design Lead within the IDEA Lab, where I consult on design challenges for both research and commercial projects.
